SEE2BELIEVE

Student Auditions and Crew Tryouts

Progressive Achievers and Sound Mind Publishing is seeking talented high school juniors and seniors interested in acting, assistant stagehand roles, or introductory training in stage lighting and sound.

Only 10 students will be selected for this professional stage production opportunity

SEE2BELIEVE is a youth-driven initiative dedicated to producing the gospel stage play I Want What I Want — a powerful live performance featuring a full band and inspiring message.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that “if you can see it, your mind believes it can achieve it.” Through this program, we aim to offer students not only the gift of inspiration but also a hands-on learning experience guided by industry professionals. Participants will have the unique opportunity to work side by side with the production team, gaining real-world experience in stage management, lighting, sound, and performance.

10 students, juniors and seniors will be selected.

This 8-Day workshop series, meeting for 2 hours twice a week, culminates in a spectacular final performance, the grand showcase of I Want What I Want. Following the production, students, staff, and partners will be recognized and celebrated at a special Appreciation Dinner.

Sponsoring this workshop is Urban League of Newark NJ.  They will also be providing the facilities for the workshops October 19-28 from 5pm-7pm.  Urban League is located at 506 Central Avenue; Newark, NJ 07107

Students will be required the week of November 2 to come to the tech rehearsals in Scotch Plains. Students will also be required to perform or assist in both the matinee and evening show on November 7, 2026. Dinner will be provided the day of show.
